Beautiful refrigerator..love the sexy looking and lighting of the interior top! Lots of room too, fits so much more than my previous refrigerator. Lots of extra storage in the middle drawer too. Only fault I found so far is that, in the bottom freezer door, when you open it, the middle and upper drawer usually come out with it too.

We absolutely love our CafÃ refrigerator. The size is perfect for our family, with plenty of storage space and a thoughtful layout that makes it easy to stay organized. The middle convertible drawer is especially useful, and the LED lighting gives the interior a premium look and makes everything easy to find. My only wish is that there was an option for a second ice maker. The freezer ice maker works well, but having additional ice production for entertaining or larger gatherings would make this refrigerator nearly perfect. Overall, the design, storage capacity, and convenience features make this an excellent refrigerator, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end French door model.

Dystopian water filter system

GE uses RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) digital rights management on their water filter to force you to buy their $55 replacement. Their fridge still doesn™™t recognize it. Every single time I replace the filter, the touchscreen throws a ™Replace Water Filter™ error. There is no manual reset. Last time this happened I had to schedule a service call and wait 30 days. A full month without water or ice from a $4,000 refrigerator ™" because the fridge couldn™™t read its own filter. One of the suggested ™troubleshooting™ steps is to unplug your fridge and power cycle it. So now you™™re dragging a 300-pound appliance away from the wall, scraping up your hardwood floors, to reboot your refrigerator like a frozen Windows PC. For a water filter. This is an inexcusable design choice for a premium appliance line. The CafÃ brand is supposed to represent the best GE has to offer, and they chose to add an electronic lock to a water filter that regularly fails to work with their own product. This is the same company that recalled 1.3 million dishwashers for catching fire and had to recall their Profile washers for components burning and baskets flying apart mid-cycle. Ironically, I™™d have been better off if GE just charged me a monthly water subscription fee ™" at least then the water would actually come out of the fridge. Beautiful appliance that will hold your water hostage every six months. Buy literally any other brand. RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT FOR A WATER FILTER that adds a failure point that disables your entire water system.™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™™

Installed the new CGE29DP2TDS1 Cafe Refrigerator today. It is beautiful and only took about 4 hrs to get the freezer down to 10 degrees. The interior is amazing and holds a lot. The lighted back wall really brightens the fridge shelves and makes it look so nice. My wife also loved the middle drawer and the flexibility with the temperature control. Also love the freezer compartment and layout with the sliding low profile drawer for pizza, pie crusts and flat items. Lots of room and designed!!

Loving this fridge and all its well appointed designs. The gold accent along with the softly lit back wall makes this appliance looks so nice and luxurious. The technology that's built in adds a great touch to the luxuriousness of this refrigerator. The removable water dispenser is so convenient. Storage capacity is great in the sense that the dimensions are perfect for all the items its houses. I only wish the ice maker had a larger capacity.

Don™™t fall for the looks - this fridge is a complete piece of crap. I don™™t know what happened to the Cafe line, our previous fridge served well for over 8 years. This junk started having issues a couple of weeks after purchase. First the filters need replacing twice as fast as suggested in the specs - expect to pay $50 very 2-3 months on a new water filter. Then the mechanics are all messed up, squeaky doors and wabbly shelves. Now the evaporator is making weird popping noises - we only had this fridge for 5 months. To add insult to injury the GE service crew in New York City is a complete joke. We had to call 4 times and every single time we got a lazy dude who we had to beg to fix our issues. I called for our 5th repair appointment today and asked to replace the fridge - they said they ™only did it if it was beyond repair™. Never again Cafe has become complete junk. Going to leave the same review on every site they sell these - gotta warn everyone.

I liked the fridge up until then but now I'm disappointed that we're dealing with a loaner fridge sitting in the garage until our GE can be repaired. [Employee of cafe_appliances] I am in love with this refrigerator. The light wall in the back is so beautiful and now I can actually see everything in my refrigerator. The convertible drawer is wonderful and really nice to have flexibility. I honestly wasn't sure if I would like the pitcher, but I use it so much. The brass accents on the interior really give it an elevated look.

Definitely a spacious quality refrigerator, that you could use counter depth refrigerators, just don™™t make any sense for me you get less space and you pay more money, but the this is super spacious, the lighting is simply beautiful every time you open the door it makes you smile. I don™™t know why.

This is a great-looking appliance with tons of interior capacity and convenient features, however, the interior water pitcher frequently overfills, spilling up to 60 oz of water onto the floor and into the deli drawer and freezer. This has occurred even after the pitcher has refilled itself (when no one is present in the kitchen), causing water damage to wall trim and wooden flooring. In follow-up, GE has taken no ownership of this issue.

It's a good fridge. The temp control is very good, capacity is excellent, the water filter is actually really good. I don't love the ice maker....small cubes connected. And the freezer drawers seem cheap. But otherwise it's very nice

The filter come with the fridge got expired, after changing $50 GE genuine water filter, error (ERR) code didn™™t disappear, water not dispensing, open another brand new filter tried again, (I brought two) same thing, ERR codeï¼ Called GE support, request a bypass filter, installed, ERR code went away for 1 day, and ERR code come back AGAIN. Very upset with the auto fill function, I wish there is a manual override function button, now I got nothing from water dispenser

Once I saw this fridge, I fell in head over heels with it, the look is very luxurious & storage is designed to hold more than most fridges. The slide out drawer with its features is a great option as you can change it to suit your needs. It took a bit for the ice maker (3-5 days) to get it full capacity but it hasn™™t disappointed since. So glad we were able to purchase this to replace our out dated fridge.
