Can not give higher rating at this time, so far unit Working fine. I will say Frigidare stepped up when i received my original damaged unit, sent replacement within 7 days. The new remote takes alittle getting use to and the indicator lights hard to see lit with any daylight shining on unit, my older unit very simple to operate.

I LOVE MY AIR CONDITIONER! WHEN IT'S A LITTLE WARM OUTSIDE, I USE THE ECO SETTING (ON AND OFF). WHEN REALLY HOT OUTSIDE, I USE THE COOL FUNCTION. THE FAN SETTING IS NICE, TOO.

I wait to review items. After 1.5 summers where daytime temps can remain in mid/upper-90s for weeks, with nightly lows in upper-70s & low-80s, I rank Performance (cooling power) as Excellent. This window unit blows into a 22x14 ft living room & 11x14 ft kitchen. Thanks to the easy to use thermostat & temp setting, I can let the rooms get up to 80 when I™™m not home. When I return, this unit can return the rooms to a comfortable 70 degrees in short work! When it comes to doing it™™s job, A+ / 5 Stars. Other Pros: The unit has a clean, stylish appearance. The remote is convenient and easy to use. The replacement batteries simple AAAs (unlike my ceiling fan remote by another brand that requires a $8 replacement). Also unlike the ceiling fan, you can control this AC unit without the remote using the aesthetically appealing buttons on the front face. Areas for Improvement: The remote only shows the room temperature. You have to look to the front display to see what temp you™™re setting the unit at. The remote does NOT tell what mode or settings are a active (Mode: Fan Only, Auto, Cool, Dry ™" Fan Speed: Auto, Lo, Med, Hi ™" Remote Sensing ™"Timer: On, Off). I included a photo of the front panel taken with max zoom from my recliner 11 ft away. As of last year, I have 20-20 vision, and I can™™t tell what my settings are on without walking over to the unit to check. It™™s that or memorize where each setting is located so it can be identified by the green light location. There have been times I had the unit on but in Fan or Dry mode instead of Auto. I don™™t realize this until I walk over and see it™™s in the wrong setting. I recommend adding more info to the remote. I purchased this unit online through WalMart. It arrived with heavy damage to the box. The frame was also damaged. A less capable customer would have had difficulty installing the unit due to a bent rail in the housing. The front face was cracked and the coils were damaged. I purchased this during an emergency and did not have the luxury of returning the unit. WalMart was not helpful, but I do not hold this against Frigidaire. Although I purchased new, it appeared I got a used unit, or one from a ™Dent & Scratch™™ appliance store (where I would™™ve paid 50% less). Con: The unit makes a deep, loud sound when it activates. Guests tend to get a funny look on their faces when for 1-2 seconds it sounds like heavy equipment is ramping up. Once it™™s running, the sound is equal to or any other window unit.

My new airconditioner is wonderful. Cools nicely (I have it set on 74 & need to wear a sweater sometimes) My only suggestion is to make the control panel with larger print as I am a senior & hard to read but nice I can just set it & forget it!

The Window Unit has inly been installed fir a short time and up to now it is working fine. The unit was ordered on line and sent to Lowes for customer pickup. The first unit came in badly damaged. It was refused and a second ordered. This unit had some damage in one place on the top of the window case. Packaging is very insufficient to protect the unit for shipping. There did not appear to be any damage to the internal A/C unit and it seems to be working as it should.

The unit works well, but is not sealed well to its outer cabinet enclosure or the outdoors. There are internal areas sealed by only styrofoam, which can be chewed through by a mouse. There are other internal areas simply open, as can be found by seeing light through the unit with the filter removed.

Ac works great, although UPS dropped it off at the road by the mailbox, upside down, we can't see the mailbox from our home, anyone could have stolen it. wish I had a picture, don't use UPS. But the 18000 btu ac is doing great and looks nice. Slow fan is not as quiet as I think it should be, little rattling but overall great ac.

This AC replaced an older Kenmore that lasted 10+ years. My wife and I could not find a handyman to install, so we did it ourselves. Fortunately, this one fit the old Kenmore window case perfectly, so it slid right in. I suspect Frigidaire also made the old one that we bought from Sears. It is quieter than our other AC which is an LG brand and cools very well. We are very happy with this AC.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. We replaced our old Montgomery Ward 18100BTU window unit with the Frigidaire - 18,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Slide Out Chassis. The old Montgomery Wards unit was over 40 yrs. old and thought we better replace it before it broke down. We hope this new unit will surpass the old unit. The only concern I have is the dirt that will get in the outside chassis and how to keep it clean or maybe their is no need to worry about that.

This AC did not make it 3 months, can not be fixed and is approved for a refund...but I can™™t get them to send me my check. Started process on Sep. 28, 2021 and as of Feb. 7, 2022 still no check...all I get is it is in the mail! Can™™t get though to Frigidaire to even complain!! Do NOT BUY any products from them!!

I bought two 18000 but Fridgedaire AC units to replace existing units. Both old units had started leaking water. Had trouble locating Fridgedaire product here in town Home Depot was the only business that would special order. Love the remote control . Keeps me from getting up on my bad knee. The air is distributed by the ceiling fans so it covers a large area. It runs quite and cycles wonderfully.

as always with this brand, its a weell made unit . the installation was a snap. operation is simple . this unit is installed in a block built house, in the garage , in FLORIDA ! as you can guess the concreate structure holds a lot of heat . the unit is able to keep the two car garage at a reasonable temperature, while dropping the humidity. this is a major home improvement ! thank you

It replaces almost the exact model which we had for 12+ years in a huge 31 foot living room with one end leading to a small kitchen on the left and a foyer leading to the exit on the right. The older model plus the new a/c was powerful enough to cool the whole area.

I bought this to replace the same model unit that just went out. It was almost 5 years old. I use it basically to cool my whole house. It is installed in the front room and using my central heater as a whole house fan it does a great job. Easily keeps my house cool in the 80-90 weather we have been having. Highly recommend it.

The remote stopped working a few days after it was installed in the wall above a window. Customer service says the remote is an accessory and the can't do anything. They could not even find it listed in parts. Have to step on a stool to work controls because the AC is high. You can only see controls and lights from a foot away. Have to buy a smaller AC for another room and use the remote on both. Still happy with the brand.

I BOUGHT THIS ONE 2 MONTH AGO AND ITS VERY HARD TO READ THE TEMP. OR TO KNOW WHICH MODE YOU SELECT FROM THE REMOTE OR THE AC ITSELF BECAUSE THE LIGHT INDECATOR IS VERY LOW LIGHT AND USELESS . I HAVE TO USE A LADER TO CHECK AC MODE BECAUSE I INSTALL IT ON HIGH PLACE ON MY STORE .SECOND ITS NOT COOLING ENOUGH AND ONCE THE TEMP GO UP IT STOP COOLING RIGHT AWAY AND THERE IS NO WATER DRAIN , THE COMPRESSOR STOP COOLING ONCE THE TEMP GO ABOVE 85 DEGREE AND NEVER WORK BACK UNTILL YOU TURN IT OFF FOR LIKE 1 HOUR AND THEN WORK AGAIN FOR FEW MINUTES.THIS SHOULD BE HEAVY DUTY AC AND WORK GOOD ON SMALL STORES LIKE MY MY STORE IS ALMOST THE SAME SIZE LIKE SMALL ROOM AND THIS AC NOT DOING ANYTHING ,
