I have been impressed on how well this washes things. Gets everything off of everything and cleans it amazingly. Dries very well with no excess water or water spots. Only thing is that it is a bit loud but not too much of a bother to us since our kitchen is separated from the rest of things. Other that that its a great purchase.

I really don't like this dishwasher at all. It came in our new house. This is def the bottom of the line for sure. The top rack can hardly fit a normal sized glass let alone a taller one. the spacing of the racks on the top that are closest to the edge are so narrow the can't fit any of my coffee mugs. The bottom rack isn't any better. The plate holders are oddly placed and forget about putting bowls anywhere. Also it is the loudest dishwasher I've ever had. I have lived in several apartments and even those had better dishwashers. We will be replacing this one soon I'm sure. Still don't know how we got stuck with this model...

This dishwasher was a replacement through a Home Buyer warranty and was similar in looks to our previous dishwasher. It runs much more quietly at this point (after 1 week of use). All of the connections were easy to install. The only downside would be the racks themselves...I don't feel that the layout allows for loading as many cooking pots/pans. Everything lays flat in the rack rather than at angles, letting me load more. Also, the silverware basket does not allow for smaller handled silverware. You have to load all of that face down/handle up so that nothing falls through and impedes the spray arm. So far everything gets clean though.

We moved into our new home on 9/1/18. It is 12/3/20. Last year, they had to replace the "solenoid." That was covered by warranty. It never really ran right - always seemed to have some problem, poor performance drying, sometimes the dial would not advance through the cycle, etc. And, now the "motor is shot" per the repairman. They want to charge me $623 to replace the motor, but this piece of garbage is advertised by GE on the geappliances.com website for $406 new. The warranty is over, and dishwasher shot after two years of gentle use. Repairman said GE will do nothing. Piece of garbage.

My new manufactured home came with this dishwasher, and it worked great for 8 years, and honestly it was still working great. When I removed it to install a new laminate floor I decided to replace it just because it was 8 years old. The old one is still going strong at my daughter's house.

Not as powerful as we thought it would be- you have to be really specific as to how you put things in there. Only one spray arm. The "tower" that comes up in the middle doesn't do the best job on glasses. Wish they had a buy back program.

Recently became a first time homeowner with my husband. I must say speaking from someone who rented and had a dishwasher that "worked", this one is awesome! We had to relearn how to use a dishwasher that actually worked! You don't have to rinse your dishes before loading everything in.

The tech's cleaned up the area, showed my wife and I the new dishwasher, explaining all the functions. The tech's started a load of dishes for us, and waited a short time to ensure the dishwasher was working properly. Lastly, the tech's made sure we had the point of contact for the company service department in case we had any issues after the fact. Again, very professional technicians representing GE!

I am over 60. I have had a lot of experience with dishwashers. This one is the worst. I recently moved into a brand new townhome which has this dishwasher installed. The water does not get hot; it does not do a good job of cleaning the dishes (I have to thoroughly rinse them first); not dry well. I have to hand towel dry them, or air dry them for a couple days.
I hope these issues may be repairable, but if not, I am replacing.

It cleans the dishes... But the bowl holders are inadequate and bowls don't stand up unless you prop them on each other. My larger mugs don't fit well in the side cup area. The silverware tray is large and oddly placed, takes up too much space. It's very loud at times.

I purchased a new House recently within the last month I didn't want GE appliances but everything is on hold in China I'm told and this is what they had. Never even used the dishwasher and came home to it flooding and not draining. What a piece of crap.
Apparently it was installed wrong and malfunction because every time someone uses water somewhere else in the house it drains into the dishwasher.

If I had a complaint, it's that the layout of the trays is a little funky -- I have a family of five, so we go through a lot of glasses and plates and pots and pans in a day (not to mention baby bottles) -- and it can be a bit funky fitting oddly-shaped things in there. If it was just all plates, it would be no problem. (Oh, and if I had another complaint, it would be that it's a bit excessively easy to use -- as in, my toddler watched me do it, and is now constantly trying to turn on the dishwasher). BUT, for a basic, low-cost dishwasher, it's good!
