I wish I would have bought the Speed Queen instead. I had this washer less than a month when it quit the first time. It took four flipping months to fix it. Meanwhile, I spent hundreds of dollars at the laundromat. Over the last three years I™™ve had to call for service several times. My favorite was when the washer quit mid wash cycle with the lid locked. It took three days for the service guy to come out, which is pretty great actually but the whole time my clothes were sitting in water. It™™s also a crap shoot whether the spin cycle will work. As for the dryer, I just had to cut yet another hoodie string because it gets caught in these weird little holes around the door seal. If I could I™™d dump this piece of crap washer and dryer combo on GE headquarters lawn!

We use this washing machine in a high volume spay/neuter clinic. Laundry is very dirty and nonstop. This Washing Machine has proved to be a work horse. Better than any Machine we have ever had in 17 years of being open. Machine is dependable and gets our laundry clean. I would recommend it for anyone who doesn't like repair bills and wants their laundry clean after the first wash.

This washer is uses a minimal amount of water necessary to clean the clothes, relying on agitation. The clothes do not get clean, they are often still soiled after a wash, sometimes not even wet, and need to be rewashed, ultimately using more water than low efficiency machines. Basket has rust spots after just one year.

This washing machine has been my worst adult purchase to date. It lasted just over 4 years and of course my warranty ended at 3. Leading up to the failure the machine was never better than my 90s washer that I replaced. It was louder, was difficult to clean when the smells got bad. Overall would never purchase a GE product ever again.
The issue seems to be motor related as it got loud for about a minute and then just stopped spinning/agitating and now no sounds during the spin cycle at all. Complete trash spend your dollars elsewhere.

I have owned this washing machine for under 3 years. It has already needed repairs 3 times. First the pump needed to be replaced. Then the belt. We are currently awaiting the parts to replace the suspension. Yes, all of this has been covered under the warranty. But the inconvenience of waiting for repairs is not great.
As for the performance of the machine, I'm not a fan. Unless you select "extra rinse" there is no guarantee that it will fill and rinse (it randomly substitutes a spray while spinning as the rinse). If you select "extra rinse" then you always get two full rinses. I really just want one rinse every load. It goes out of balance often. Sometimes at the end of the cycle the clothes are still sopping wet, and then I need to do an extra drain and spin. Every time you open the lid it sprays extra water in the tub, even if you are trying to balance a load that is on a spin cycle.

I™™ve had this washing machine for going on 3 weeks now. It has made it all the way through a wash and spin cycle ONE TIME. In 3 weeks. I have 3 kids and 3 dogs. I do a lot of laundry. First of all- it doesn™™t matter what water level you choose. The machine decides how much water it wants to put in the basket. You can™™t put anything heavier than a tshirt in this washer or it simply stops halfway through the wash cycle and makes a horrible buzzing sound. Sometimes you can make the sound stop. More often than not- I have to take all the .
sopping wet clothes out and put them back in and start the washing machine again. And before you ask- YES. I™™m sure the load is balanced when I start it. And YES - the machine is level. I™™ve checked it multiple times. If you stand there while it™™s washing and pause and redistribute the load 100 times, you can get a heavy load through. By heavy- I mean 5 medium weight Nike sweatshirts. I™™m getting ready to try to wash towels. God knows how long that™™s going to take me to get the load complete. It doesn™™t matter which cycle you choose, normal, bulky, whites- they all do it. The clothes bounce around in the washer and all end up on one side. I™™m tearing my hair out really. Who has time to stand there and watch your machine attempt to wash clothes. If I could give it negative stars- I would. I™™m so disappointed. $750 down the drain. Literally. I™™m getting ready to make a repair appointment for a 3 week old washer - I™™m hoping a sensor or something can be replaced and I can have a washing machine that actually washes clothes. I™™m not holding my breath.

Not sure of exact year purchased but it™™s not that old. Started having trouble with it going off balance. I would spread clothes out but it would bunch them up and wouldn™™t wring out. I would have to select drain & spin numerous times. Got fed up and bought a new one

I™™ve taken some time to see if I could try to love this washer. Quite honestly it™™s supposed to be large capacity, however, if put a large blanket in and look to assess water level it still doesn™™t appear to potentially have enough water to wash/rinse so I use more water with the extra rinse.My OLD SMALLER CAPACITY washer could do what this can not: Wash the same said blanket no extra rinse; A load of polo shirts ,after being dried,would not show areas where it appears soap was not rinsed; Spots appeared saturated during wash cycles;I could open the lid and not wait and wait to add straggling towel/sock. With this NEW WASHER :The lid locks so if you find that straggler to throw in you must hit pause and wait and wait ™¦..for the lid to unlock, I can see a skin cycle; I need to use an extra rinse and at times I question if the clothes even experienced an adequate wash. I worked for some time at a laundromat so I am aware of not overloading the washer with polo shirts/men™™s dress slacks for them to not come out of the dryer with dried soap in areas/spots that don™™t even appear saturated during the washing process . When you™™re doing the laundry you should be able to open the lid and throw in an item.I understand Waiting for a spin cycle, But waiting for the lid to open after a spin cycle feels as if it takes forever. The wash cycles are not that aggressive and stop quickly but the lid is locked. I shouldn™™t have to stop and wait. My old washer was not a large capacity, was a basic model and I never had these issues until it broke. I would not purchase this washer again.

We have had this machine for almost three years. A small family of three so not a huge demand placed on it. Machine sounds like an old school lottery ball spinner on spin up and spin down. Sounds like grok grok grok. Started about a year after purchase. Seems to be getting worse. Currently trying to get repair set up.

Made it nearly 3 years and the gear box is toast. Have some very nice clunks, some violent bangs, and great squeals that started. I'm told it would be a very expensive fix. Even if GE was going to go good and warranty the part, I'd be on the hook to either drive it 200 miles round trip to drop it for the repair, the same to pick it back up... Or pay a ton for the repairman to make the same drive. I'll have the cost of a new washer wrapped up in the mileage and time away from work to make it happen. I won't make the mistake of buying GE again.

The washer times out & will not fill enough to wash clothes. The low water level causes the spin cycle to throw to clothes to one side bc of lack of water & makes the washer walk & bang around until I rearrange them. We™™ve had a service man look at it & says its bc our water doesnt fill enough before the washer times out & starts the wash with low water level.

This product is the worst washing machine I™™ve ever owned for numerous reasons. The first major flaw is that I have to do an extra ™spin and drain™ cycle too often to remove the access water left in my clothes before putting items into dryer. The most frustrating of the complaints I have though currently, would be that in just a little over a year of use it has now created some problem with making my clothes smell absolutely disgusting. I™™ve tried different diy tricks such as baking soda, distilled vinegar and even bleach cycles in attempts to rectify the issue. I have never had to do this with any of my other washing machines. Besides having done the baking soda and vinegar trick on my towels in the past.
Now as if these were my only problems I absolutely cannot believe the way I™™ve been treated while attempting to schedule service since I have a 5 year factory warranty. I have tried calling numerous different numbers to get a hold of somebody that could open a case with my complaints, and let alone schedule an appointment. I™™ve been dealing with this for 2 weeks now and when I finally had an appointment scheduled for Friday the 26th of 2024 between 8-12 am nobody called or showed upð So I had to deal with making calls again around 3pm to have this terrible company tell me opps sorry but we won™™t be making it out today. Supposedly there was a glitch in their scheduling and I would have to wait until the following Tue or Wednesday for service. I am so beyond frustrated and angry with this whole situation and the nonsense this company is putting me through. I have so much laundry to do, I™™ve wasted so much of my precious time and energy and money on electricity and water trying to solve this problem myself. To make things even worse they told me they were going to call and confirm a new date and time and nobody called. And to top it all off they had the nerve to tell me if I wanted to arrange my own company to look at it they would reimburse me. What is the point in having a factory warranty if they don™™t even honor it!!!! This is the worst company I™™ve ever dealt with in all of my 50 years. They have been almost completely impossible to contact an actual human being to complain too. They don™™t apologize for anything and as I™™ve already stated I still have no resolution to my problem. And to top it all off I™™ve been having to put up with this garbage while my 82 year old father is dying. and now has actually died. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I like the size of the tub. This washer holds a lot of clothes. I do find it gets out of balance more often than my old washer. I also don't always here the noise when it's out of balance. The controls are easy to understand. I also like the "auto" feature for water fill so that we conserve the resource.

WASHER: Always have to use MAX FILL to cover the clothes. Very noisy. Not spinning out, so at the end I use the DRAIN AND SPIN CYCLE to get more of the water out of the clothes for drying.
DRYER: Always have to have the dryer on HIGH HEAT and MAX of MINUTES! The ALARM on the dryer had to be shut off! Way too loud! We live in a condo area.

The last spin cycle does not remove all of the water especially if I wash a heavy load. I also do not like the fact that if you want to run the drain and spin cycle again the machine adds two sprits of water. Also I am not sure if an adequate amount of water is added.

This is the absolute best washer I have ever had. It is perfect in all areas. We have purchased several washers and I have never been happy with a single one until we purchased this one. I have had this washer less than 3 years. The transmission went out, along with belts & pulleys, spewed oil. $900 repair bill. They told me it does not have a commercial motor like they say, it has the same motor as a regular washer. So much for being the GE equivalent of a Speed Queen washer. It is a piece of junk. The water level is just like a Energy Efficient Washer, does not fill all the way up.

I wanted a washer without all the bells and whistles. Really, who needs a washer with WIFI? I did want a well made, easy to use machine which this model is. It does a great job cleaning in the same amount of time as my old Maytag front loader. The only comment I would make about the washer are the noises it makes. I guess these are normal, but some are really weird. That explains why a QR code is in the manual to explains the noises the washer makes during operation. And with a 5 year warranty, I am very pleased with my selection.

Within a first week and a half the so-called stainless steel drum was rusting their solution was to put bars keeper on it I've been washing laundry for 40 years never heard such a ridiculous thing. So they sent me out a new one obviously with the same metal drum it did the same thing. Then not even within a month The dryer quit working. I return the products and got a full refund Don't waste your money

My new GE washer works well cleaning the clothes, etc™¦But it™™s very loud compared to the old GE washer it replaced. And the Start push button took some time to figure out; it turned out to be very touchy. I prefer the old push-it-in to Stop and pull-it-out to Start handle, but that™™s progress, right? The lid lock is something to get used to as well as the tub water level limitations. Overall it™™s okay for a newer type washer but takes some getting used to if you™™re someone who doesn™™t really want all the bells and whistles, which this one™™s offers just enough to please or confuse.
