I have used GE appliances for YEARS, as well as my family & friends. This stove is a fine example of what GE is capable of. This stove functions well, the sensi-temp heating elements provide a good measure of security if you have kids/pets. It also serves as a protection from overheating. The range cooks very evenly and the broiler adds a PERFECT crisp to my casseroles and pies. Thank you GE for another great product! 5-stars!

Cooktop works fine until an element breaks, and one can boil water at "two" setting.
This is my second one that I had as new, in which the oven temperature was poorly calibrated after I plugged it in and put it in the kitchen. I wouldn't recommend it for a serious baker or someone who likes to cook rather than eat out: the temperatures are all over the place, and even using different oven thermometers doesn't help much. The GE model before this one lasted about 5 years before the oven temp couldn't be adjusted by a repairman anymore, and the large front burner boiled water at a "2" setting.

The oven does not make any noice or give any signal when pre-heated. There is no timer/clock. The oven drawer is poorly designed and constantly falls off of the track giving it an unfortunate appearance.

My mother will be 92 in one month. She recently had a fire in the oven of her stove. My husband and I took her to look at new ranges. She wanted electric coils and knobs because that is what she has always been used to using. The oven controls are digital however, but she is doing pretty well figuring that out and calls either my sister or me if she has questions. She has said that she likes her new stove and has used it quite a bit in the week she has had it, as she bakes and gives goodies to her neighbors and family.

Absolutely to not like this model due to the sensitemp electric burners. Cant even boil water for pasta because it shuts off the high temperature once it gets to boil. Whoever made this website idea, evidentally doesn't cook!!!! Horrible. I'm going to Home Depot to purchase new coil elements to change them out!

This oven/range is the cheapest and worse I have ever seen. It Is junk. I live in an apartment, and this is the one they gave me. It has no clock. There is no preheat oven light. There is no chime or bell to let you know oven is preheated. It's a guessing game! This oven is the worst I ever experienced and do NOT recommend to anyone.

I love everything about this stove except the high back. I wish the back of the stove was lower. I'm not sure what the purpose of the high back is but half that size would look better

I didn't like sensi temp technology because I need full high heat for cooking food and that feature automatically drop temperature in middle of cooking which ruined all my high height dishes

Mom needed a stove with front controls and insisted on coils. This was the only GE we found with these features. No self cleaning or clock. Definately for older and shorter people. Mom is fine with it and needs to live with due to no other GE stoves seem to be set up this way.

This basic range with simple knobs with numbers I have always cooked with, located at the front is much safer for me, an 81 year old. Easy to read, turn, reach without my arms or sleeves being above heated cooking are or pots.

My new stove's oven thermostat did not work properly from the first day I got the stove and had to be replaced by GE. After the part was replaced and calibrated by the GE serviceman, the oven still runs a bit cooler than the settings on the dial. I like that the control knobs are in the front of the stove so I don't have to reach over hot burners and hot pots to control the stove and oven.
It is easy to clean spills under the stove top burners as the entire top of the the stove lifts up for easy access. I do canning which is why I wanted this model stove. Many electric stove models have ceramic tops. I was warned by the appliance salesman that cast iron pots would scratch the ceramic and also the burners on ceramic stoves did not get hot enough to use in canning.
Other electric stoves have the control knobs on the back with one of the two large burners in the back right in front of the knobs! I need two large burners to can, one for the pot to sterilize the jars and the other for the stock pot. Having the control knobs in the back behind a large boiling pot won't work. So this model stove had those features I wanted EXCEPT that it does not have a self-cleaning oven, To me, that was the biggest drawback of this model, but I could not find a GE coil top stove with knobs in the front that had a self cleaning oven.
