Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Quality and backorder issues

KRSunrise 8/11/2026

Buyer beware. Took three month for my fridge to be delivered. 36™ counterdepth Black Ore. The fridge arrived with a damaged freezer drawer due to how the fridge was packaged by the manufacturer. Spencer Appliances, who we ordered through, put in an order immediately for replacement Freezer drawer. It has been two months now and no eta in sight. We also ordered the upgraded bronze handles for the fridge which are still on backorder after 5 months. So my fridge handles no not match the rest of the appliances. We purchase the 4 piece matching set. Then after only two months of use, the ice maker went out in the fridge. The fridge is beautiful and I like the layout but so far it has been a big disappointment. Looks great but poor quality. Contacted Kitchenaid directly because Spencer™™s cannot get any answers for me and they said they could not help me. Not sure what to do from here. Super disappointing.

Nice styling. Terrible and unreliable ice maker.

RivRaider51 8/10/2026

Refrigerator styling is really nice. Internal water dispenser is not convenient. Would not recommend anyone buy this model if this will be used for daily water needs. Water spills and splashes all inside and around the refrigerator. Works as a refrigerator should except for the ice maker. The original ice maker twisted itself to death, with the tray breaking off and falling out after just two months of purchase. A new ice maker was installed. Three and a half months later the second ice maker sensor broke off and it's making a tremendously loud noise as it cycles. Repairman coming out again. Very unfortunate that this ice maker design doesn't seem to last more that a couple of months.

Ice Maker Will Break!!!! Black Ore Looks Amazing!!

LWRFL 7/9/2026

I purchased the Black Ore KitchenAid KRFC236SBE refrigerator in December 2025. Overall, I really like the refrigerator itself. It looks great, performs well, fingerprints do not show on the Black Ore color, and I especially appreciate the internal water dispenser. Unfortunately, the ice maker has been a major disappointment. It has failed three times in just seven months. According to the authorized repair technician, this is a common issue with the KRFC236SBE model. He told me that a large portion of his service calls are for replacing these ice makers and that, as of July 2026, KitchenAid has not provided an updated or permanent solution. The only repair available is to install the exact same ice maker, which is likely to fail again. For a premium appliance, this is unacceptable. I expect better reliability and a lasting fix from KitchenAid. If a redesigned ice maker is not yet available, KitchenAid should extend the warranty on this component until a permanent solution is developed. I hope KitchenAid addresses this widespread issue, as the refrigerator itself is excellent, but the recurring ice maker failures make it difficult to recommend.

High-end fridge, inside and out

KWJW 6/25/2026

This is my first counter depth fridge so it took a little bit of adjusting to. This fridge has a sleek look and fits nicely in our space and with our other appliances. The wood accented drawer makes the interior of the fridge look higher end. The indoor water feature is one of my favorite options and gives the outside front of the fridge a clean look. The shelves and drawers adjust and move nicely. A couple of suggestions to help improve functionality would be to have to full size shelves fit to each door, so both doors don™™t need to be opened to pull them out. A little space might be lost but it would be a worthwhile feature. The temperature adjustment buttons are located at mid level of the door and I find myself inadvertently touching them upon opening, so moving them up or down would prevent unwanted changes made. Finally, the ice machine could use a sensor to help stop ice production when the bin is full. I find it keeps making ice, which eventually spills under the door, and I am manually turning it on/off depending on our use. Overall, we are happy with our purchase!

poor follow up with replacement items

RRm3 6/16/2026

The refrigerator was delivered 3 months ago with some insullation protruding out of the doors. They were supposed to be replaced in 4-6 weeks- still nothing done. The ice maker stopped working a few weeks after installation. Still waiting for a new ice maker as well. The refrigerator looks good but at this point it would be hard to recommend.

Beautiful Fridge, just wish I has a working freeze

jagal 6/15/2026

I love this fridge. Everyone that see's it complements how nice it looks. It doesn't show any finger prints or smudges. The only issue is I haven't had a working fridge since we had it installed. The freezer is cool but not cold enough to keep anything frozen. It's going on a month and a half and we are still waiting on a backordered part which we don't know if that is the issue.

Fantastic refrigerator!!

Schulte farm 6/12/2026

Love this black refrigerator. Goes so well with our kitchen design. Having the freezer on the bottom, as well as the ice dispenser, leaves so much more space in the upper part of the refrigerator. The water dispenser on the inside of the refrigerator is perfect. Everything stays so fresh, the temperature for every department is fantastic.

We replaced an 18 y.o KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerator. Though the capacity of this newer one is a bit smaller, the french door layout is very accommodating. Digitial controls took a bit of getting used to but having pantry controls is a nice feature.

Overall good fridge

Bvaughan 6/12/2026

Only complaint is the ice maker won™™t stop making ice and it piles up in bin then when you open freezer drawer a few cubes fall behind it and won™™t let it close. Otherwise it™™s been great and looks good.

Adequate.

WjD64 3/19/2026

The refridgerator has been in operation since Jan 13, 2026. on February 24, open the ice bin, the ice maker tray had dropped into the ice bin and a sensor was hanging from above. The Ice maker function was inoperative. I reported in to the store I purchased it from, they directed me to talk with kitchen aid as it is under warranty. Reported to kitchenAid on March 3. A service co scheduled to service it on March 17. Received a text on march 16, they can't do March 17 and rescheduled me for March 25th. now all that said, I've had the machine for 65 days, for 40-41 of those days, I had a ice maker inside the refridgerator that worked. Essentially 35% of my ownership time, a major component has not worked. So other then that, no significant complaints.

Beautiful but disappointing

johnandronnet 3/11/2026

We bought this about a month ago and absolutely love the color and the overall look in our new kitchen. However the quality is disappointing. We™™ve owned a KitchenAid in the past and that™™s why we chose another one for our new kitchen. The deli drawer especially is frustrating. It often shifts and comes off the track. We also already have a service call in for someone to come and fix the water dispenser. When flushing down the first time, it simply stopped working. Not what we expected from KitchenAid.

So far so good..

DW1234 1/21/2026

Love our counter depth fridge. So far we don™™t have the water connected. Wish we could buy touch up paint in the mat black in case of accidental scratches. It does show hand prints so im trying to figure out what cloth to buy and what products work for that. Tad disappointed about freezer space. Will need to either vacuum save meats or get another small deep freezer (or just buy meals for the week which I™™ve been doing).

Worth the wait

Tef904 1/15/2026

I love this refrigerator. The color is amazing. It™™s not a hard dark matte black. It™™s a beautiful shade of black. I didn™™t get to see the color in person (no one had it available to see). I love the roll out shelf, the wood trim makes it so elegant. The water dispenser is nicely placed on the side out of the way. The only 2 little negatives are, the shelves don™™t fold down if you have a tall or large container. Secondly, the motor is a little of a loud hum. But I am so happy with it, neither of those two things bother me. Have only had it 3 weeks but definitely recommend this product. Getting the rest of the matching appliances tomorrow.
